Hacken Hopes For Happiness In HK

Hacken Lee (李克勤) and Myolie Wu (胡杏兒) were among the guest performers on TVB's music show Jade Solid Gold <勁歌金曲> on Wednesday.

During the recording, Myolie was arranged to sing a duet of "Unknowingly Falling For You" <不知不覺愛上你> with Hacken and the music-industry newcomer admitted that she was feeling the pressure of performing opposite one of the "big brothers" of the Cantopop scene. She revealed that her debut album will be ready for release in November and when asked if she will be competing for a newcomer award at the end of year music results shows, she said that she had not thought too much about it, because this would make her feel better if she did not win anything.

Hacken was asked about rumours that his Left Alan Right Hacken <左麟右李> concerts have successfully bid for the first slot at the Coliseum when it re-opens for business at the beginning of next year. He replied that he was not sure about this, but he knows that the company have submitted the application. He said that the last series of concerts took place around the time of SARS and with the recent financial crisis, he hopes that once again, their concert will bring some happiness back to the people of Hong Kong.
