Eason Chan Is Modest About Prospect Of Winning Top Award

Last night’s recording of Jade Solid Gold (勁歌金曲) contained performances from singers including Joey Yung (容祖兒), Hacken Lee (李克勤), Eason Chan (陳奕迅), Hins Cheung (張敬軒), Alan Luo (羅志祥). Taiwan idol Alan was warmly welcomed by fans and garnered special treatment from TVB by receiving his own private make-up room, while the rest of the local singers shared the universal make-up room. Eason said he did not mind that he was not given preferential treatment and said that he enjoys being in a room full of people because there is a better atmosphere.
Responding to the rumors that he will be taking home the Media Award for 2007 for the artiste who wins the most music awards across all ceremonies, Eason modestly answered that if he were to receive the award, the credentials should go to his company and the staff. As for the earlier reports that he had enthusiastically hugged TVB’s executive Virginia Lok (樂易玲) during the night of the Jade Solid Gold celebration, Eason laughed that he and Virginia are good friends and in the past year they have kept up with each other. He explained that on the night of the celebration, she had asked him why he was holding an empty glass and had poured some of her own drink into his.
Prior to going to the recording, Alan had held a press conference for his upcoming concert and had unfortunately injured his leg. He said that he had immediately sought attention from a doctor. He gave high praises for the doctor, because without asking any questions, he knew that Alan was suffering from a sore throat and performed acupuncture on his neck. Alan has recently been linked to David Tao (陶喆)’s rumored girlfriend and in response to this Alan emphasized that there is no chance between him and her. He said that they have only met one another a couple times and are not close.
Hacken has been busying himself with dance rehearsals for his upcoming concert, which has been extended by another night. He referred to himself as a to be a "dance retard" and laughed that when the dance instructor found out he was to work with Hacken, he immediately requested an increase in fee. Hacken added that practicing for his dance routines has worn him out to the point that he can barely hold onto a milk bottle when feeding his son Ryan.
Hins was recently caught on film when he was visiting Kenny Kwan (關智斌)’s new home and Kenny had admitted that Hins is a frequent visitor of his new home, but Hins had earlier denied this. Hins explained that the reason for his denial was that he did not want to speak about others people's issues, especially in regards to such personal matters as home addresses. He said that on that night, he was actually dropping off a trumpet for Kenny, but added that in the future he will not be evasive. He joked that after the recording for JSG he will be heading over to Kenny's new home again.
