Leo Ku Wants To Form Boy Band

13 March 2008

Leo Ku (古巨基) will be releasing his new album tomorrow, 14 March, which also co-incides with the "White Day" celebrations, where people who received gifts on Valentines Day return the favour by buying gifts for the person they received the valentine from. The tradition originated in Japan, but has now spread to Korea and is slowly being adopted in many other countries worldwide.

Leo recalled one occasion, where he gave chocolates to a Valentine and hoped for a month to receive a White Day gift in return to indicate acceptance of his advances and he was not disappointed because he received some handmade chocolates and won over his love.

At his concert last year, Leo had given his male Gold Label colleagues such as Justin Lo (側田), Alex Fong (方力申) and Terence Tsui (小肥) the title of "Gold Label's Smooth Run" and for his new album, he has invited them to join him in the performance of "This Day Every Year" <年年有今日>. He has also suggested to the company that they should join together to form a boy band for future collaborations.

During the filming of the music video, Leo took on the role of director and designer, dreaming up the setting of them all looking extremely suave in tuxedos and bow ties. After the shoot, the crew were all extremely bowled over, so they all queued up for photographs with Hong Kong's latest boy band.
